Ontario Register of Future Voters (ORFV)
Published on Mar 8, 2018 14:00

This March, Elections Ontario will launch Provincial Voter Registration Month (PVRM) to prepare voters for the upcoming general election on June 7, 2018.

While the voting age in Ontario remains 18, 16 and 17 year olds who are Canadian citizens and reside in Ontario can now add themselves to the Ontario Register of Future Voters (ORFV). Once added to the ORFV, registrants will then be automatically added to the Voter’s List when they turn 18. Being on the ORFV is a new way for young Ontarians—future voters—to demonstrate their commitment to active citizenship and participate in Ontario’s democratic process.
